A Busy Week
I don't really have time to post, but I thought I'd do a quick update. Everything is moving along. We close on our house Thursday and on our construction loan Thursday or Friday. We've made changes to our house plans to cut down the cost. We aren't going to finish the basement and we'll all be on the first floor for a while. In a year or two we'll plan to get that done. I'm trying to get ready for our vacation to Utah. We are headed to Arches National Park and Canyon Lands National Park on Saturday. We'll be gone for a week and be back in time for Mother's Day. I'll try and post from the road, maybe I'll have more time than I do now. We are still hoping to start building next week, while we're away. I'm thankful that for this week we've had rain and canceled ball games, I can use all the extra time we can get. It is quite a task to get us all ready and prepared for this kind of a vacation (camping).

Things are Not Settled Yet...
...But we've gotten a lot accomplished. Everything is out of the house. God provided five or six strong men to help move furniture on Saturday. Everything is out of the house, except for what is in the garage. Today I'm going back and cleaning. My wonderful neighbor is coming to help and another friend offered last night to take the kids today. That will be such a big help!
Our phone is moved to our new place (same phone number).
The land survey is done.
The land is purchased and we have the deed (although it needs correcting as it says we paid $100 for the land instead of $100,000).
Everything is cleared for closing on April 30th.
We are almost moved out (boy was that a lot of work last week).
So that leaves working on getting the construction loan. We need to meet with our builder to get the cost breakdown (hopefully this week). We hope to close on both our house and this loan onthe 30th. Building is still hopefully going to start at the beginning of May.
We need to get a new address and get our mail switched. We have to put our mailbox out (post hole is already dug, thanks to Uncle Mike).
Last week was quite crazy and I was at the house every day. This week I hope to be there only today. We'll see how that works out.
Overall I'm feeling pretty good, considering I've been working like crazy with no naps. I do feel like I'm in the second trimester now (no morning sickness, yeah!!) I did get a nap yesterday in the trailer. I'm thankful for the Sabbath! I am also thankful that we should see more of the sun this week and get to enjoy it.
We are in summer mode for school now, which helps me to have more time to do all this other "stuff management". I think the boys are happy to enjoy time off too. We'll still do some school two days a week, but that schedule might not get started until after our vacation.

Change of Plans
Due to the expected rainy and cold weather for the weekend (Thurs. and Fri. nights), we are canceling our backpacking trip. James made the call this morning and I'm glad he did. Instead, he thought we could move into the trailer on Friday (since he's off). We were going to next Thursday evening, but this will be better as we'll have the whole day to settle in. It will be something fun to do too, since we aren't going away.
We still won't be moving completely out until next weekend. After that we may still keep a few things here until we close. It is nice that we still have three weeks to slowly move out.
Now we get to do an Easter egg hunt outside at Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw's on Sunday afternoon. There's lots of places around there to hide eggs.
I'll post again after we'll settled.

Sunday Lunch
Check out the dropshots link to see a video of Jesse eating as he is falling asleep. He was up at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday morning for some strange reason, so he was really tired. We all had a good laugh before putting him to bed.
I have more pictures and video I want to upload, but am too busy with school and packing lately. This weekend we are planning on going on our first all family backpacking trip for two nights. It should be quite the adventure. Then on Sunday we'll be celebrating Easter at our soon to be place of residence for a while (James' parent's house). Next Thursday night is our first night in the camper. Should be fun!
